The World
Credits
The rooms, sculptures, thresholds and light of the virtual world, and the terms of anything in them that somebody else made.
The work itself
The worlds are Ivan Anikin's own work. The paintings are his; the rooms, sculptures and colour are modelled and lit from those paintings, and the palettes are measured from the paint rather than chosen. The photographs hanging on the walls are the same ones the rest of this site shows, joined to each room at the moment you walk in. Where a room borrows a piece somebody else made, it is named below, with its maker and the licence it carries.
Each installed package also carries its own detailed build credits, naming the model and palette every piece came from, alongside the files it was exported from.
The figures
The people standing in some of the worlds, and the one you walk as, are Ivan himself: scans of his own body, taken on a phone and rigged so they can stand, breathe and walk. The one you walk as is the scan, cleaned; the ones you meet are sculpted from it. Where the phone could not see - the fingers, the underarms, the shoes - the body was finished by hand in the same project, and is his as much as the rest. They are his likeness, published here with his say-so, and they are not in any world package.
The skeleton they are fitted to, and every movement they make, come from the Universal Animation Library by Quaternius, released into the public domain under CC0 1.0. Nothing is owed for it. It is named here because work that was given away is still work somebody did.
Third-party work
These were made by other people and are used under the licences shown. Where a piece has been changed to fit a room, the change is described.
